Polartec celebrates the use of one billion plastic bottles in their fabrics

Polartec has announced that they’ve used one billion’s worth of clear plastic bottles in the production of fabric used by major brands such as Rab, Montane, Mountain Equipment, Patagonia and Norrona. Since 2003, Polartec has been recycling plastic bottles and using them to create fabric used in outdoor gear. In 2010, they partnered with Unifi to produce high quality recycled fleece.
