The North Face Mountain Festival returns this September
The North Face Mountain Festival returns to Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland with a bang in 2017. Fuelling the outdoor spirits and minds of explorers from across the world, this year’s event takes place at the foot of the Eiger from 14-17 September 2017, doubling in participants from 2016 with an extra night added to the itinerary.
Festival goers will be able to climb, paraglide, run, canyon-jump and hike their way around the stunning alpine scenery whilst kicking back and relaxing at the festival’s ‘base camp’, where numerous workshops like expedition cookery and adventure photography classes will take place to keep them entertained whilst not on adventure. Add live music, inspirational athlete talks, and adventure films, into the mix, and The North Face Mountain Festival 2017 is all set to be the ultimate in outdoor adventure and exploration.

“In 2016 we welcomed an amazing group of outdoor enthusiasts, from seasoned ultra-runners to novice climbers to the festival. They came from all over the world, some from as far away as China, all with the shared love for adventure, amazing experiences, and of course mother nature. This created an unbelievable vibe throughout the event, creating many lasting memories for everyone involved,” said Giorgio Saviane, Sr. Brand Marketing Manager, The North Face EMEA.
“This year The North Face Mountain Festival will welcome twice as many people, and turbo charge itself into a whole new level of adventure, exploration and experience. The plan is to take all that was amazing last year, and throw in some new, cool activities to create the globe’s best adventure festival. ”
