Signed Everest paintings auctioned for charity

A 25-strong team from St. James’s Place Wealth Management will be trekking to Everest Base Camp in early April, raising funds for their Company Foundation, which has so far made grants in excess of £20 million over the last 20 years.

As part of the fund-raising efforts, an Aberdeenshire-based artist, Peter Goodfellow, was commissioned to paint two paintings of Everest, and from these 75 limited edition prints have been signed by Doug Scott, Sir Chris Bonington, David Hempleman-Adams, Kenton Cool and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

The company is also staging an event at Blenheim Palace in June at which some prints will be auctioned and Sir Ran Fiennes is main speaker. Kenton Cool, who is leading the trek, and climb on Everest itself with team-member Roger Owen, will also be at the dinner.

    1. I am delighted to say that I attended the event at Blenheim Palace event on Friday 22nd June at which Sir Ranulph Fiennes was the guest speaker – he was both inspirational and very entertaining – a truly great British Explorer!

I am also pleased to have secured the original painting by Peter Goodfellow auctioned on the evening signed on the rear by Sir Ranulph Fiennes and alo Doug Scott, Sir Chris Bonington, David Hempleman-Adams, Kenton Cool – a lovely paining and a wonderful memento of the evening!
