New lightweight down expedition suit from PHD

The latest, and lightest, down suit from PH Designs has been developed for high altitude mountaineers for use up to 7000m. The lightweight (1200g,) Hispar down suit offers high protection from the elements, less bulk and is warm enough for ascents on Himalayan peaks but equally as effective on lower ground.

Made using 900 fillpower down and ultralight Drishell and MX fabrics, the suit features full expedition specification with six pockets above harness level, a helmet hood with wired peak and large size near volume reducer and a rainbow toilet system. You can also use the Hispar with a lighter sleeping bag, saving even more weight.

With a RRP of £750, colour choices include either gold or red, with black inner MX fabric to allow fast drying, and front closure two-way zip covered by double baffle and Velcro. Pockets and back of hood feature reflector tape for night searches and crampon patches from knee to ankle are included.
