Outdoor clothing specialists Páramo have recently released the new Men’s Bora and Ladies’ Zonda Fleece/Windproof jacket combos, designed for hill walkers and the ‘active traveller’.
Breathable and lightweight (less than 650g per combo), these garments have been designed to work separately as a standalone fleece or mac, or together as a fully waterproof and windproof protection layer. Created using a new combination of Nikwax Fleece and stretch panels (which Páramo claim allow a softer and more comfortable fit), both the Bora and Zonda have been produced to allow freedom of movement, making them suitable for all manner of outdoor activities.
The two part Men’s Bora system offers twin zip ventilation and comes in a smock style, while the Ladies’ Zonda features a full front zip and additional temperature control through twin front zips – important when wearing a rucksack or waist belt. A close fitting hood on the Fleece combined with a fully adjustable peaked hood on the Windproof, long sleeves and storage pockets provide further protection from the elements, while the Nikwax fabric should wick away perspiration to prevent overheating.
Each combo is available in a range of colours and sizes, and has its own male or female fit. Prices start from £155.
