Nikwax has released a new version of its Cotton Proof product which allows outdoor enthusiasts to waterproof their cotton clothing and kit for increased durability.
The solution can be applied using a brush or sponge, or alternately poured into a washing machine to create water repellent cotton fabrics. The new product is three times more concentrated and can also be used to prevent tents, tipis and awnings from absorbing water and becoming heavy.
Designed for use on cotton and polycotton fabrics, Nikwax Cotton Proof leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on fabric fibres while allowing clothing to remain fully breathable – without the use of harmful chemicals.
Available now, Cotton Proof can be bought in either 50ml sachets (£1.49) or 300ml (£3.98) bottles, with one sachet being enough to proof one garment.
