Walking home for Christmas

WALKING WITH WOUNDED RESIZED
Walking With The Wounded – the charity which funds the re-training of injured servicemen and women – are encouraging the public to support their cause this Christmas by taking part in a sponsored walk home from their place of work, no matter how far the journey.

The fundraising initiative, entitled ‘Walking Home For Christmas’, will see those taking part travel by foot from their place of work on Friday 20 December,  to emphasise the dangerous environments through which our armed forces must travel on a daily basis. Participants can walk either part of the journey home or make the full trip, whether starting out at a bus or train station or walking several miles from the office to raise awareness. On registration, all those involved will be provided with a hi-vis jacket, and if you’re walking through the streets of London, the Renaissance Pub Group  is offering anyone taking part a free drink, with a bespoke suit on offer for the person who makes the longest journey.

Registration is £30 and all fees will go directly to the charity.
