Berghaus launch new high performance Frendo range

Just in time for winter, Berghaus has launched a new collection of waterproof and insulated ski clothing, combining the latest in outdoor materials innovation with contemporary design and features.

The Frendo is Berghaus’ new ultimate range of technical apparel, specifically jackets and salopettes. Tested extensively by athletes Ross Hewitt and Michelle Blaydon, these garments should be just as good as Berghaus claim.

INSULATED LAYERS
The men’s and women’s Frendo Insulated jackets sit at the top of the range. Protection from the elements is provided by the 2L GORE-TEX® fabric with a tough ripstop face. Insulation comes in the form of Berghaus’ cutting edge HydroloftTM Elite Pro, which, thanks to great breathability, provides extended warmth even when the wearer is working hard. The synthetic HydroloftTM has been body-mapped to deliver insulation where it is needed most, with different configurations in the men’s and women’s jackets. The men’s and women’s Frendo Insulated jackets retail at £320.

Their companion pieces are the men’s and women’s Frendo Insulated trousers, which also feature both 2L GORE-TEX® and HydroloftTM Elite Pro, reinforced with SCHOELLER® KEPROTEC® in key wear areas and hard-wearing KEVLAR® kicker patches. The trousers retail at £250.

SHELL LAYERS
Designed for ski mountaineering, the men’s and women’s Frendo jackets are waterproof outer layers made out of extremely durable 3L GORE-TEX®. The Frendos promise outstanding weather protection and performance during extended ski mountaineering adventures in all conditions. These lightweight jacket are packed with key features and designed for long days in the snow. The Frendo jackets retail at £330.

The final products in the range are the men’s and women’s Frendo trousers, made out of tough 3L GORE-TEX®, reinforced with SCHOELLER® KEPROTEC® in key wear areas and hard-wearing KEVLAR® kicker patches. Boasting a wider cut and adjustable inner gaiters. Berghaus claim the Frendo trousers will work with any ski boots. They retail at £300.
