Be one of the few Westerners to trek in northern Burma where pristine jungle, remote trails, curious tribal people and a challenging high mountain ascent will make you feel like a true pioneer.
Starting from the remote village of Putao, in the foothills of the Himalaya, Mountain Kingdoms’ 10-day trek crosses fast-flowing streams by bamboo suspension bridges, rises through untouched jungle and climbs above the snowline to a final ascent of the summit of Phongun Razi at 3,635m. Here, amidst the high peaks of the Ice Mountains, you will be rewarded with magnificent views of the Himalaya to the north.
On trek you will be led by highly experienced, English-speaking guides and will enjoy full-service camping with first-rate equipment, food and support staff. You will also spend a couple of nights in characterful village lodges and have time to enjoy some of Burma’s key cultural sights at the end of the trek.
