Volunteers needed for blind veterans walk

A 24-hour fundraising walk in aid of Blind Veterans UK is looking for volunteers to support participants on their challenging journey from London to Brighton 22/23 June 2013.

The epic 100k walk aims to raise money for national charity for blind ex-Service men and women. Volunteers will be meeting and greeting at stops, helping with refreshments, chatting with fundraisers and cheering them on each step of the way!

Each volunteer will be a pillar of support, motivating fundraisers to keep on going even along their most challenging of routes, all of which are sure to cause some aching muscles. No previous experience is required and necessary training and support will be provided. All volunteers will get a free meal, a free Blind Veterans UK t-shirt, and a sense of achievement for helping out with a very worthy cause.

The 100k walk will begin on Saturday 22nd June at the Hammersmith and Fulham Rugby Club in Putney. The challenge will come to an end at the Blind Veteran Brighton Centre on Sunday 23rd June where volunteers will join in celebrating the amazing achievements of everyone involved.
