Can you Hack it for the NSPCC?

Fancy a hiking challenge that’ll also raise funds for a very worthwhile cause? The NSPCC is calling on people to sign up to take part in its HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) challenge walks taking place across the UK this September.

The HACKs range from 5 to 22 miles and will take place during September in three locations across the UK – Devon, Northern Ireland and London – making them the perfect event for outdoor enthusiasts and challenge seekers alike.

NSPCC Head of Community Fundraising, Deborah Adams, said: “Our HACK challenge walks are a great way for people to raise money for the NSPCC, whilst enjoying a day in the great outdoors. This year we’re running three walks in September allowing participants to take on the challenge in terrains ranging from the beautiful Mournes Mountains to the urban landscape of London, where participants will walk a route which takes in some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. By taking part in our HACKs you can help make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children. Why not sign up with a group of friends or colleagues and make it a real team challenge?”

The entry fee for the HACKs is £10 or £20 depending on the distance, and participants are asked to raise sponsorship, with extensive fundraising support provided by a dedicated NSPCC team.

Funds raised from the HACKs will help the NSPCC to protect vulnerable children through its projects and services including ChildLine – the UK’s free, confidential 24-hour helpline and online service for children and young people – and its helpline providing advice and support for adults who are worried about a child.
