Berghaus has introduced a range of new lightweight softshell jackets for summer 2013. Designed to offer protection from the elements during the warmer months, the Cadence, Pulse and women’s Urgency jackets are wind and water resistant and deliver freedom of movement while in use.
The Cadence (SRP £100) is made out of 3L Windstopper Soft Shell, combined with Berghaus’ own AF Softshell. Windstopper Soft Shell makes the main body of the jacket windproof, while AF Softshell incorporates four-way stretch for effective breathability while on the move. Features include two raised, zipped pockets (rucksack compatible), an exposed centre-front zip, stretch bound cuffs with thumb lops and a dropped hem with draw cord adjustment. The Cadence weighs in at 370g (size large) and is also available as a gilet (£85, 264g).
The Pulse and women’s Urgency are both made out of Berghaus’ AF Softshell, delivering wind and water resistance, and freedom of movement thanks to four-way stretch. The fabric is very breathable and lightweight and ideal for a wide range of fast moving outdoor activities, and when keeping product weights low and kit packable are a must. The Pulse (£90, 315g size large) features two raised, zipped pockets (rucksack compatible), an exposed centre-front zip, articulated sleeves, stretch bound cuffs with thumb loops and a stretch bound hem. The women’s Urgency (£85, 243.5g size 12) features two zipped front pockets, an exposed centre-front zip, stretch bound cuffs and a stretch bound hem.
The spring/summer 2013 range by Berghaus is available from www.berghaus.com and specialist outdoor retailers now.
