Chamonix Adventure Festival, which runs from 15-20 July 2013, has announced film and photography courses as part of this year’s festival led by world class professionals Sébastien Montaz-Rosset and Tristan Shu.
Acclaimed adventure photographer Tristan Shu will run the Adventure Photography Workshop for those looking for an introduction to action photography. Or for those more serious about learning how to capture the best mountain images and learning more about the equipment and post production, there is the option of the two-day Adventure Photo School.
The Adventure Film School enters its second year and will be run once again by award-winning local film-maker Sébastien Montaz-Rosset. The one-day Adventure Film Workshop is suitable for those who have just started filming or have a handful of films under their belt. Those looking to take their film-making to a another level can attend the two day Adventure Film School which will concentrate on outdoor sessions with professional athletes.
All four courses will be run during the festival and will take advantage of the unrivalled landscapes and mountains of Chamonix. The mecca of trail running, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing and mountaineering, Chamonix offers the perfect setting for the courses with a highly diverse set of subjects to work with. The one day photography and film workshops will be run on 15 July, whilst the two day schools will be run on 16 and 17 July 2013. One day courses can be taken on their own, or can be combined with the two day courses. The courses are the chance for aspiring photographers and film-makers to gain valuable insights from two of today’s most innovative adventure image makers.

Stumbled upon this cool site, and despite living right next to Chamonix I’d not heard about these courses, they sound amazing, thanks for the heads-up!
