British adventurer Felicity Aston is set to give a talk this autumn, detailing her 53-day journey to become the first woman in the world to ski across Antarctica alone.
The presentation will take place on October 21 at Ellis Brigham’s Covent Garden store, with Aston expected to speak at 7.30pm. The Polar Explorer began her record-breaking expedition in November 2011, setting off from the coast of Antarctica to make the 1084 mile journey through the Transantarctic Mountains, Polar Plateau and past the South Pole before reaching the continents far coast.
Felicity will cover the physical and mental challenges of the trek including her daily battles with complete isolation and emotional turmoil, before signing copies of her newly released title: Alone in Antarctica.
