Scarpa have introduced the new Manta Pro GTX – a four season, B2-graded winter mountaineering boot designed for all round UK winter mountain use.
Claimed to have a snugger fit and increased dexterity compared to earlier Scarpa models, the crampon compatible GTX features a Gore-Tex liner, Vibram sole with Climbing Zone, locking instep loop, Pro-Fibre XT 20 mid-sole, cut and padded Scarpa autofit collar and design for extra comfort and an all-round rand for durability.
Each boot weighs in at 937g (size 9) and has brightly coloured neon orange laces and sole unit with silver panelled lace hooks. Underfoot stiffness and toe-end traction add to the durability of the Manta Pro, while its PU shock-absorbing inserts at the heel and forefoot and TPU crampon plate are designed to withstand harsher terrains.
The Scarpa Manta Pro GTX is available now priced at £279.99.
