New for this autumn is the compact Ninox II Headtorch from Silva.
Waterproof and weather resistant, the 83g single-unit torch has a simple layout with two brightness settings, one main spot beam and a flood LED for even light distribution. It’s also been awarded a waterproof rating of IPX7, has a 140 claimed lumens brightness factor, using Silva’s Intelligent Light system, and an estimated battery life of between 30 and 90 hours depending on the power setting applied.
A cylindrical design and mono arm means the torch is fairly small and self contained too, but it doesn’t lack in features. Users can press the power button twice for a low setting, and the torch switches to a low level red-light option when the power button is held down. A battery level indicator light on power off helps users monitor their usage, and the torch requires three AAA batteries to function.
The Ninox II is available now, priced at £50.
