A new online video channel set up by the British Mountaineering Council has officially gone live this week.
Dubbed BMC TV, the new platform allows users to access the latest videos, web clips, technical advice, safety skills and outdoor films, in addition to news, events and features on the BMC website. Content will include clips of local festivals, competitions and short climbing and mountaineering films, as well as the official channels of the British Mountain Guides and Kendal Mountain Festival – where the site will launch formally next month.
As part of the launch, the BMC are looking for additional content from amateur filmmakers, encouraging those interested to submit an outdoor short/feature film, trailer, show reel or clip of their own. Alternatively there’s the option to vote for a clip you’d like to see featured on the site, which can be accessed using most electronic devices including tablets and phones.
