Since 1987 Jagged Globe has been at the forefront of professionally led mountaineering expeditions, mountaineering courses, adventurous skiing and high-altitude treks.
With Jagged Globe you can climb the Seven Summits, trek to Everest Base Camp, improve your off-piste skiing or develop your mountaineering skills. If you love mountains and want to climb higher, trek further or ski steeper, then join us.
Worldwide Mountaineering Expeditions & Guided Climbs
Jagged Globe mountaineering expeditions are led by professional expedition leaders, the vast majority of whom are British, with one or two American or Australian guides.
Adventurers with basic crampon and ice-axe skills can join our expeditions to non-technical peaks, such as Mera Peak in Nepal, or Aconcagua – the highest mountain outside the Himalaya.
For experienced mountaineers, we organise expeditions to steeper mountains, such as Cholatse and Ama Dablam, as well as 8,000m peaks, including Everest. All climbers have the opportunity to join a pre-expedition weekend in the UK, before journeying to their destination. We offer guided climbs in Peru and Ecuador on summits up to 6,000m, including Alpamayo, Chopicalqui and Chimborazo.
High-altitude Treks
Jagged Globe specialises in high-altitude treks, suitable for experienced mountain walkers. Our most popular treks are to Kilimanjaro and the Nepalese Himalaya. Experienced local guides lead the vast majority of our treks but because some are in remote areas or have challenging terrain, occasionally UK guides lead these.
All our trek itineraries are carefully designed to provide a thorough programme of acclimatisation, which is why they are typically a day or two longer than standard ‘off-the-shelf’ treks. A pre-trek weekend will help prepare you for your trip.
Climbing & Mountaineering Courses
Learn and develop your mountaineering skills on a Jagged Globe Scottish Winter, Alpine Summer, Alpine Ice or Rock Climbing course. Scottish Winter Courses are particularly suited to those preparing for an overseas expedition and take place in Glen Coe, on the west coast of Scotland during January, February and March. Summer Alpine Courses run from June to September and include ascents of 4,000m peaks, Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn, as well as glaciated treks, such as the Haute Route.
Alpine Ice Climbing is for those who want to climb steep ice. You can enjoy this during January and February in France, Italy, Slovenia and Austria. Rock Climbing and Scrambling courses are carefully tailored to your aspirations and are available in Snowdonia, Wales.
All-world Skiing
Jagged Globe has a long history of adventurous skiing on every continent. Together with some of our most experienced Mountain Guides and Expedition Leaders, our skiers have experienced the thrill of skiing in Antarctica, Argentina, Azerbaijan and Albania, to name just a few. In addition to these Adventure Ski trips, we offer ski tours in the European Alps, including the classic Haute Route. There are also Ski Touring Techniques, Off Piste and Freeride courses for those wishing to learn the skills to get further into the Backcountry, away from busy pistes.
