The film adaption of Andy Kirkpatrick’s best-selling book ‘Psycho Vertical’, directed by Light Shed Pictures’ Jen Randall, is being given a limited UK cinema release from Friday 2 March 2018.
After scooping awards around the globe and string of international preview screenings, ‘Psycho Vertical’ reaches several UK cinemas during March and April, with more to be confirmed.
Based on his best-selling autobiography of the same name, ‘Psycho Vertical’ is the raw and emotive study of the complex life and motivations of British writer, funny-man and unlikely hero-mountaineer, Andy Kirkpatrick, woven into an 18-day solo ascent of El Capitan, Yosemite. ‘Psycho Vertical’ screens with the recent short film ‘The Bothy Project’, also from Light Shed Pictures.
‘Psycho Vertical’ Director Jen Randall says: “It’s great to see so many UK venues interested in screening ‘Psycho Vertical’. It was quite a journey in its making, so Andy and I are both thrilled that cinemas are interested in presenting it. It isn’t often that movies like ours make it into cinema screens, and we’re eager to see just how far we can change that!”
The film is currently booked into cinemas in Scotland, Wales and the UK (see below) with some international shows happening in the near future too.
