The North Face launches 4000m boot

Mountain gear specialists The North Face have recently created and launched a new crampon-compatible winter mountaineering boot, following rigorous testing and expert feedback from a host of outdoor specialists. The Verto S4K GTX is suitable for outdoor activities up to 4000m, including trekking, ice climbing and via ferrata. Features include a fully waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex lining, high flexibility, Vibram Mulaz sole and steel upper eyelets.

Launched last month during a test weekend in Chamonix, the boots withstood days of continual heavy usage and were trialled by members of Cotswold Outdoor, Ellis Brigham, Nevisport and Outdoor who reviewed the boots as: “the most comfortable B1/2 we’ve ever worn”.

“This is the first step in an initiative to connect our retailers with the end consumer”, commented Alex Beasley, UK Country Manager for The North Face. “The feedback we received was very positive and we feel the event was a great success”.
