Alpine equipment experts PHD have just announced the launch of their lightest sleeping bag to date.
The Filler weighs in at 240g, and has been developed using ultra-lightweight 10X fabric with 900+ fill power down within the quilted inner and outer shells. This means the bag should have an operating temperature of around 15˚C, and can be used either alone or with a regular sleeping bag for extra warmth – though bear in mind it’s only shoulder length, so head cover would also be advisable.
Described by PHD as “extremely strong yet soft with an unrestrictive fit”, the bag features a stitch-through cell structure to prevent down shift, an oval foot-piece and stretch drawcord which locks at the shoulder.
Priced at £195 with the option to extend either the length or width for an extra fee (shorter versions are also available), The Filler has a navy blue design and comes with a stuff sac for easy portability.
