Tickets released for Kendal 2013

Tickets are now on sale for the Kendal Mountain Festival 2013, a weekend-long event featuring the latest adventure films, inspirational speakers, art exhibitions and mountain literature.

Running from 14 – 17 November, this year’s festival will see outdoor talent from around the globe gather in Cumbria. US alpinist Kelly Cordes, Everest mountaineer Kenton Cool, world renowned female climbers Shauna Coxsey, Lucy Creamer and Mina Leslie-Wujastyk and Spanish big-wall soloist Silvia Vidal (above) will give talks and inspire crowds with their latest tales of adventure, while National Geographic Adventurer Of The Year Erik Boomer, Swiss skier Samuel Anthamatte and ultra-athletes Jez Bragg and Lizzie Hawker will also make an appearance.

As is tradition, the festival will host its annual mountain film competition, showing more than 50 films on the big screen from over 200 entries worldwide. Films will battle it out for ten prize places, with genres including culture, drama, wildlife and environmental documentaries. Winners will also be announced for this year’s Boardman Tasker Prize for Mountain Literature.
