Outdoor equipment experts Easton have received the 2013 Popular Science “Best of What’s New” award in the recreation category, for their Syclone™ composite tent poles.
The Utah based brand have come up with a breakthrough design using high-strength, lightweight, aluminium and carbon fibre tubing, which has been recognised as improving both performance and value. Claimed to be the most resilient tent poles ever developed by Easton, the durable Syclone™ supports are said to be more resilient to failure and bending than aluminium models, while still returning to their original shape after use.
Popular Science Magazine Executive Editor, Cliff Ransom, said: “Each winner is handpicked and revolutionary in its own way. Whether they’re poised to change the world or simply improve your living room, the Best of What’s New awardees challenge us to see the future in a new light.’’
