Reimagined, and coming this spring, the Llanberis Mountain Film Festival (LLAMFF) is going to be bigger and better than ever!
In the heart of North Wales’ mountain culture, the home of many great mountaineers, and where traditional climbing is pure and often serious. A plethora of steep terrain, torrents of water, and some of the best climbing and scrambling, Snowdonia makes a great playground for all mountain sports!
Sharing fantastic experiences through videos, lectures and stunning imagery, and inspiring those who wish to enjoy & explore the mountains by different means is all part of the programme. The festival also comes with a goal; to increase awareness of the environmental impact due to the large number of people that visit the Llanberis valley and surrounding area, and the importance of “leaving no trace” when in the hills.
Having respect for such beautiful landscapes, sharing ideas about preserving them, and also exploring how others are challenging themselves in such an environment. This is what LLAMFF is about, and it’s for anyone who is interested in outdoor activities or would like to be inspired in many ways.
Outdoor skills workshops, family activities, masterclasses from sponsored athletes, and a big closing party with live music on Sunday evening will make this event a weekend to remember. Attracting all kinds of outdoor athletes and mountain lovers, there will be many people to meet, and a ton of knowledge and experience to be shared with anyone interested. The festival would also like to increase awareness of the Llanberis and Ogwen valley rescue teams, and help to raise vital funds in order to continue saving lives.
LLAMFF will run from 6th – 8th March, with more information and tickets available from llamff.co.uk or stay informed via twitter with #LLAMFF
