New Product: Hanwag Anisak

Part of Hanwag’s versatile Trek Light category, the new Anisak boot has been designed to offer the perfect blend of comfort, stability and protection during day hikes across most types of terrain. The boot features a premium nubuck upper that has been designed with minimal seams for enhanced durability and minimal risk of rubbing. Walkers can choose between either a waterproof and breathable, Gore-Tex lining or Hanwag’s soft, anti-allergenic, chrome-free leather lining. The Anisak also benefits from an advanced, new ankle cuff design with a section of stretch fabric at the rear which provides a more comfortable fit around the lower calf.

All Hanwag boots are last constructed for easy resoling and manufactured in the brand’s European factories for guaranteed quality. The Anisak is cobbled on Hanwag’s Wide Last which is designed to fit more comfortably for trekkers with slightly wider feet. Rather than having to buy a size up, the Wide Last features a standard heel section yet offers more width around the forefoot and ball of the foot. This means the foot sits comfortably and securely inside the boot without the risk of looseness or rubbing around the heel.

A protective heel and toe help to protect the Anisak’s upper from rougher terrain and both models feature the Hanwag Trek sole. Made from grippy TPU rubber, the Trek sole combines a relatively aggressive tread with an innovative honeycomb construction that helps to keep the boot’s weight down.

The Anisak and Anisak GTX will be available from February 2017. Find out more at www.hanwag.com.
