Tickets have have gone on-sale for the Women’s Trad Festival, now in its 3rd year. The event consists of a weekend of trad climbing in the Peak District – learning new skills, developing your climbing, and meeting other keen climbers.
Whether you’re new to trad climbing, want to transfer indoor skills to the outdoor rock, or an experienced trad climber, everyone’s welcome, even if you’ve never climbed before! All tickets include 2 nights of camping on Friday and Saturday night at Thorpe Farm, and a BBQ on Saturday evening. You will receive a WTF2018 t-shirt, along with some other goodies from the event sponsors. You will also have the chance to borrow any gear you need, and access exclusive offers from the sponsors throughout the weekend through retail partner Outside.
Weekend Learner Ticket
These tickets are for women who have climbed indoors and want to try climbing on rock. They are for women who have sport climbed, and want to try their first trad lead. They are for women who have been leading trad for a while, but don’t feel confident placing gear and want to build on their skills. As a learner you will be paired with another learner and taken out to the wonderful Peak District crags by an experienced leader. We aim for the weekend to be as personally relevant to you as possible. The leaders are there to teach you and support you on an individual level, in whatever area you need it most. There will also be gear available to borrow throughout the weekend, so don’t worry if you don’t have your own shoes, harness and helmet!
Weekend Climber Ticket
These tickets are for women who can confidently lead trad, but perhaps do not have enough experience to attend as a leader or would just prefer a more casual weekend. If you feel you do not fit into either the ‘leader’ or the ‘learner’ position but you are happy leading and would like to come along to Women’s Trad Festival, this ticket is for you. You will be paired with another Climber Ticket holder who climbs at a similar grade to explore the Peak District for the weekend. You will also have access to the support and advice of a number of highly qualified and experienced women who will be on hand at the crags throughout the weekend.
