Climb a 7000m peak with Trek & Mountain!

JOIN US AND A TEAM OF FELLOW T&M READERS FOR AN EXPEDITION TO PEAK LENIN (7134m) IN KYRGYZSTAN NEXT SUMMER!

Over the last five years, Trek & Mountain has taken scores of our readers on expeditions all around the world, completing ascents of Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Mera Peak, Stok Kangri and many more. In 2019 we will be running our most ambitious expedition so far – to climb Peak Lenin on the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan – and you could be on the team!

Organised by World Expeditions, and led by world-renowned exploratory mountaineer Simon Yates, the expedition will be sponsored by Vango Force Ten, with every team member receiving £500 of F10 equipment to use on the expedition and keep afterwards. Over the course of three-and-a-half weeks, the team will arrive at Peak Lenin base camp and get acclimatised for a summit push by rotating between base camp and the camps higher up the mountain, before making our attempt on the summit itself. Top-quality logistics and support will be provided by World Expeditions who have huge experience of putting together such expeditions.

When and how much?
Our Peak Lenin expedition will be running from 29 June and 23 July 2019, and the cost (not including international flights) is £3790 per person. For a full list of what is/isn’t included in the price, email us for a copy of the expedition dossier.

Who can join the expedition?
Although not a particularly technical peak, the extreme altitude of Peak Lenin means you will need to have been on previous trekking or mountaineering expeditions to at least 6,000m, and be a self-starter used to long trekking days and camping in cold conditions. You should also be a team player who derives satisfaction from the whole team’s success as well as your own. Thanks to our expedition sponsor, you will be supplied with an F10 sleeping bag, kit bag and rucksack to use on the expedition and keep afterwards. The team will also be using F10 expedition tents during the trip. You are welcome to bring/use your own equipment if you choose of course.
