The Kendal Mountain Festival is one of the undoubted highlights of the outdoor calendar, and Trek & Mountain is proud to announce that it will be supporting the festival as a media sponsor for the first time in 2012.
At the heart of Kendal’s programme is the mountain film competition, attracting film premières from around the world. Over 50 films are screened (from 200+ entries) with ten coveted prizes up for grabs. Together with the Art and Photography events, numerous competitions, specialist sports nights (Bike, Snowsports, Free-Flight and Endurance Sports) the Boardman Tasker literary award, KMF for Schools programme plus the Adventure Film Academy for aspiring filmmakers, make it the ‘must do’ mountain festival.
The line-up of names from the outdoor world is impressive this year, and includes Andy Cave, Doug Scott, Kenton Cool, Tim Emmet, Simon Yates, Paul Rose, Leo Houlding, Will Gadd, Karen Darke and many more.
