Arc'teryx Alpine Academy 2014

The Arc’teryx Alpine Arc’ademy will return to the French Alps this summer, giving novice and experienced alpinists alike the chance to learn new skills in and around home of alpine sports.

Based at the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix, the three day event will run from 13 – 15 June, with multiple outdoor workshops and seminars on offer for all ability levels. Led by British Mountain Guides, Arc’teryx athletes and professional mountaineers from the ‘Compagnie du Mont-Blanc’, workshops will cover high altitude mountaineering, ice climbing, navigation and crevasse rescue, while seminars will provide information on alpine equipment, medical skills on the mountain and tour planning, with the chance to test out the latest gear too.

The Alpine Movie Night on Saturday June 14 will see leading alpine athletes present their latest films, giving crowds an insight into the wider world of alpinism. Further details and daily schedule information for the 2014 event is to be released next month.
